Home EV Charger Installation FAQs

  • In some cases, yes. 

    If your panel is outdated or can’t handle the additional load, an upgrade may be necessary.

    Our electricians will evaluate your panel prior to the installation process when we provide you with an estimate.

  • It’s completely safe as long as the installation is done by a licensed electrician. Our team ensures that all wiring and connections meet local safety codes.

    And in case you were wondering, it’s also perfectly safe to install your home EV charger outdoors if you prefer.

    Many EV chargers are designed to be weatherproof and can be safely installed outdoors with the proper protective casing.

  • We don’t recommend DIY installation due to the risks of improper wiring. 

    It’s best to hire a licensed electrician to ensure the installation is safe, efficient, and up to code.

    (Even if you don’t choose to work with us, please hire another certified, licensed electrician. This is definitely not an electrical job you can safely DIY.)
